Copenhagen 15/12 2021. 50 cl bottle from Lidl, Lygten, Kbh. NV. The Karlens Nordic Craft Beer usual branddesign in a red version.
Pours clear maroon with a red hue and mid-sized off-white head. Stable. Settles as thin, patchy layer of foam unable of covering the surface of the beer. Moderate lacing.
Aroma is medium intense with a sweet, malty odor mingling with Christmas spices. Caramel and toffee and hints of brown sugar. Ginger, anise, cinnamon and cloves.
Light carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, greasy, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is medium intense with a fairly strong sweetness followed by a moderately strong bitterness. Aftertaste is sweet and laced In cinnamon. Lingers for a while. Finish is sugary sweet.
Classic take on a Danish Christmas Beer: Quite sweet and with a solid dose of Christmas spices.
