A beautiful dark chestnut brown ale brewed with dark caramel malts.
The aroma is characterized by a rich malty character with hints of dark fruit, roasted coffee notes and light licorice.
The taste is deep and full of character with a good sweetness and a well-balanced bitter aftertaste.

Copenhagen 3/7 2022. 33 cl can from Kvickly, Falkoner Allé, Frb. C. Simple brown can in the Willemoes brand’s usual design. Tagline is “Toffee, Mild, Malty”.
Pours clear, dark amber with a big yellow-ish head. Stable. Settles as thin, flimsy layer of foam struggling to cover the surface of the beer. Moderate lacing.
Aroma is medium intense with a sweet toasted, malty odor mingling with metallic notes. Caramel and toffee, lightly singed malt. Tin foil.
Light carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, soft, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is medium intense with a strong sweetness followed by a moderately strong sourish bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter with a notable sweet undertone. Lingers for a bit. Finish is semi-dry.
Run of the mill - but I could do without the metallic tang.
