According to Nordic Saga Literature, Tyrfing was the magical sword, which was said to be the sharpest of its kind, glowing with fire and never missing a blow.
This dark beer has the same reddish glow as Tyrfing's fire! With its sweet taste and spicy aromatic scent of chocolate and dark fruits, this beer is perfect for hearty dishes, dessert and the late, dark evening hours.

Copenhagen 12/12 2019. 66 cl bottle from Føtex, Vibenhus Runddel, Kbh Ø. Frejdahl calls it a Belgian Porter. Kind of strange when they are doing this Nordic routine and oderate with the tagline “Wakes your inner Viking”.
Pours opaque dark brown with a small off-white head. Settles as a thin, but frothy layer of foam. Unable to cover the surface of the beer but crawling up the sides of the glass. Moderate lacing.
Aroma is medium-intense, lightly roasted and sweetish. Roasted dark malts, leather, tobacco, brown sugar, cocoa. Not overly sweet.
Light carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is a bit thin. Rather sweet followed by a notable but more moderate bitterness. Aftertaste is sweetish. Lingers for a bit.
A little bit thin for a porter. So my inner viking is still fast asleep.
