Copenhagen 19/3 2020. 33 cl can from Aldi, Frederikssundsvej, Kbh. NV. Black can with golden letters telling me the brand, the name and that I am about to enjoy a luxury gold beer.
Pours clear yellow with a small white head. Settles as thin layer of foam unable to cover the surface of the beer. Clinging to the sides of the glass. Moderate lacing.
Aroma is medium intense, malty sweet with a light sour grainy touch. Pale sweet malts, bread, cardboard, Sour harsh notes.
Medium carbonation. Medium thick, oily, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is rather sweet followed by a light sourish bitterness. Aftertaste is sweetish but with a notable harsh bitterness just underneath. Lingers for bit.
Luxury can take many forms. I suppose it can be a too sweet, malty, semi-strong beer.
