Willemoes Jubilæumsbryg is a Strong Ale brewed to celebrate Willemoes’ 15th anniversary.
Treat yourself to a velvety mahogany-coloured beer with notes of caramel and chocolate. In the spirit of the naval hero Peter Willemoes, the beer is infused with genuine Danish navy rum from A.H. Riise, which adds warmth, depth and a pleasant aftertaste.
Our brewmaster has chosen to brew a beer where malt is at the centre. We have carefully selected the Scarlett barley variety to create the setting for this tale of good brewing craftsmanship. Scarlett has been grown since 1995 and adds the perfect combination of sweetness and body to our anniversary brew.

Copenhagen 14/12 2019. 66 cl bottle from SuperBrugsen, Amagerbrogade, Kbh. S. Comes in a Green box and with a matching green label. Tagline is “Mahogany, rhum, caramel”.
Pours clear, dark amber with medium-sized, dense white head. Settles as thin layer of foam unable to cover the surface of the beer. No lacing.
Aroma is medium intense, sweet with a light boozy touch. Sweet malts. Caramel, cane sugar, nuts. Sweet dark alcohol. Very light tart notes.
Medium carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, with a very light tingle.
Flavor has a strong sweetness followed by a more moderate bitterness. Aftertaste is sweet. On the verge of being sugary. Lingers for a while. Finish is a bit boozy.
Sweet and boozy celebration of the Willemoes brand. The rum could be more pronounced - and it seems more infused than barrel aged.
