Willemoes Forårs IPA is a modern IPA with a bite. It gives a breath of fresh air and kicks up the spring feelings. As a counterpoint to the two hop types Sabro and Galaxy, light Nordic malts have been carefully selected and added with extra freshness in the form of grapefruit.

Copenhagen 7/5 2020. 50 cl bottle from Fakta, Frederikssundsvej, Kbh. NV. Purple version of Willemoes’ usual label design.
Pours unclear amber with a medium-sized white head. Settles as 0,5 cm thick layer of foam almost covering the surface of the beer. Crawling up the sides of the glass. Substantial lacing.
Aroma is medium intense with a fairly strong malty sweetness with citric notes. Caramel and cardboard. Citrus and grape fruit.
Medium strong carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is medium intense with a medium strong sweetness followed by a slightly more moderate bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter with a sweet undercurrent. Lingers for a while. Semi-dry finish.
Very much on the sweet and malty side but not without its own, rugged bitter charm.
