Copenhagen 28/1 201. 33 cl bottle from Lidl, Lygten, Kbh. NV. The Karlens brands usual generic light and dark green label with a golden crown in the center.
Pours clear yellow with a mid-sized white head. A bit bubbly. Settles as a thin patch of foam unable of covering much of anything. No lacing.
Aroma is moderately intense with a malty sweet odor mingling with a light grainy sour scent. Sweet pale malts, bread, cereal and a bit of cardboard.
Medium strong carbonation. Thin, watery, lively and tinging texture.
Flavor is moderately intense with a medium strong sweetness followed by a medium strong bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter with a sweet undertone. Lingers shortly. Finish is semi-dry.
Quite on the thin side but the lack of intensity aside it is fairly well balanced and fairly clean.
