HUMLEBY BROWN ALE has a malty aroma with notes of nuts, caramel and fruits. This gives the beer a sweet taste with a touch of burnt caramel and a bittersweet aftertaste. HUMLEBY BROWN ALE is recommended, among other things, with cheese or dishes with pork.

Copenhagen 12/10 2019. 50 cl bottle from Aldi, Frederikssundsvej, Kbh. NV. Simple yellow label stating the brandname “Humleby”, the name of the beer and a tagline: “Dark and Rich”.
Pours almost clear Maroon with a medium-sized off-white head. Settles as thin layer of foam just managing to cover the surface of the beer. No Lacing.
Aroma is moderately intense, sweetish and metallic. Caramel, brown sugar, toffee. Notes of metallic Tin foil.
Light carbonation. Thin, oily, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor has a strong sweetness followed by a moderate bitterness. Aftertaste is sweet and lingers for a bit.
It might be dark - but not particularly rich. Rather a bit watery and quite one-dimensional.
