On the occasion of the 15th anniversary of the launch of Willemoes, this beer is brewed with malt at its heart. We have carefully selected the Scarlett barley variety to create the frame for the story of good brewing craftsmanship. Scarlett has been grown since 1995 and adds the perfect combination of sweetness and body to our anniversary brew. Willemoes Helles is a golden lager. The Scarlett barley variety is complimented by European hops, creating the perfect beer to celebrate a special occasion. Full-bodied flavor and slightly spicy aroma characterize this Helles.

Copenhagen 15/6 2019. 50 cl bottle from Fakta, Lyngbyvej, Kbh Ø. White label with a Cross from the corners in dark blue. Looks like an inverted Scottish flag.
Pours slightly unclear amber with a medium-sized off-white head. Settles as thin layer of foam just managing to cover the surface of the beer. Crawling up the sides of the glass. Substantial lacing.
Aroma is not particularly strong, sweetish and on the malty side. Caramel, sweet malts and a hint of brown sugar. Light roasted odor.
Fairly strong carbonation. Slightly thick, sticky, almost fizzy texture.
Flavor is fairly sweet followed by a moderate bitterness. The bitterness is stronger in the aftertaste with a lighter sweet undercurrent. Lingers for a bit.
Decent way to celebrate an anniversary. Well balanced though a bit on the sweet side.
