Willemoes Session IPA is a tribute to the Styrian Wolf hop – a new Slovenian hop that has quickly become popular with its fruity aroma and complex taste.
The taste of the hops is expressed with notes of tropical fruit, lime, melon and a hint of violet.
The beer is unfiltered.

Copenhagen 1/6 2019. 33 cl bottle from Kvickly, Nørrebrogade, Kbh N. The usual Willemoes design in light blue. The tagline is Golden - Bittersweet - Tropical.
Pours unclear golden yellow with medium-sized white head. Fairly stable. Settles as thin, flimsy layer of foam unable to cover the surface of the beer. No lacing to speak of.
Aroma is fairly intense. Fairly strong malty sweetness with distinct fruity notes. Sweet malt, cardboard, bready. Fermented apple, light citrus. Hints of stale refrigerator.
Medium strong carbonation. Slightly thick, oily texture.
Flavor is medium sweet followed by stronger slightly rough bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter with a sweet undercurrent. Lingers shortly. Semi-dry finish.
Quite some smell and taste for a low alcohol Session IPA. A bit too malty for my taste buds but decent.
