Enjoy this rounded Nordic Red Ale with an aroma of bright fruits from Simcoe hops.
It is named after the dwarf Galar from the Norse sagas. Together with his brother Fjalar, he killed the god Kvaser and used his blood together with honey to make the magical mead: SkaldemjĂžden.

Copenhagen 7/4 2019. 33 cl bottle from Netto, Utterslevvej, Kbh NV. Red and gold label with ornaments. Another beer from Frejdahl named after the Dwarfs killing a Kvaser making mead of his blood.
Pours slightly hazy, golden amber with small white head. bubbly. Settles as 1 cm thick layer of foam covering the surface of the beer. Moderate lacing.
Aroma is sweetish and of lemonade and lightly roasty. Lemon, citrus and lightly sweet lemonade dominates. Very light roasted malts rummaging in the background.
Strong carbonation. Slightly thick, very lively, prickly texture.
Flavor is medium sweet followed by a slightly more moderate bitterness. Aftertaste is sweetish but with a bitter undercurrent. Lingers shortly.
A bit middle of the road. Could use a little bit more roastiness to hit the mark for me.
