This year we are treating you to an exclusive Barleywine, where part of the brew has gained its distinctive depth through aging in various barrels - including white wine and whiskey barrels. The different barrel aging processes merge into a harmonious symphony of flavors, where notes of caramel, dried fruit and vanilla are balanced by a vinous acidity and a touch of toasted character. With its powerful but rewarding alcohol strength, this is a Christmas beer that can be enjoyed before, during and after the good Christmas meals.
Merry Christmas!

Copenhagen 30/11 2025. 66 cl bottle from Kvickly, Englandsvej Kbh. S. Red label with golden star and two pale fellows in old-fashioned dark blue uniforms staring an each other.
Pours clear dark mahogany with a small off-whitehead. The head disappears after a minut leaving a sombre fluid behind. No lacing.
Aroma is fairly intense with a strong, sweet odor of dark fruits soaked in sweet dark alcohol. Raisins, plums anf figs. Brown sugar. Sweet liqueur. Sourish notes of vermouth.
Light carbonation. Medium thick, oily, soft, greasy, a bit sticky, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is intense with a heavy sweetness followed by a moderately strong bitterness. Aftertaste is sweet and laden with alcohol. Lingering. Finish is sticky, sweet and boozy.
A wholesome, sweet Christmass treat.
