With Willemoes Christmas 2018, you are treated to a mahogany-colored Strong Ale, aged on cocoa beans and added Cold Brewed Coffee. In both aroma and taste, the malt contributes sweetness and body, as well as nuances of caramel, chocolate and coffee.

Copenhagen 8/12 2018. 66 cl bottle from SuperBrugsen, Brønshøj. Guys with Cravats and Funny hats on the label the deep burgundy label.
Pours deep reddish amber with big off-white head. Settles as 2 cm thick and dense layer of foam. Very moderate lacing. Aroma is sweet and dark. Chocolate and cocoa. Dark fruits. Plums. Coffee. Lightly spicy.
Medium strong carbonation. Slightly thick bordering on being watery. Light tingling. A little sticky.
Flavor is rather sweet. Followed by a more moderate coffee bitterness. Aftertaste is sweetish with a light alcoholic burn.
Lighter than I expected - but still a pretty heavy Christmas Brew with a solid sweetness and decent kick.
