Copenhagen 17/2 2017. 75 cl bottle from Føtex in a luxurious box including a small bottle of Highland Park Single Malt Whisky. According to the label they should be consumed together as the sweetness of the beer should compliment the heartening warmth of the whisky. Nice little gimmick.
Pours very dark brown - almost opaque - with light beige head. Settles as very thin layer of foam.
Aroma is sweetish. Caramel, brown sugar, nuts and a hint of smoke.
Soft carbonation and slightly thick palate.
Flavor is rather sweet followed by medium bitterness for balance. Sweet aftertaste with lightly bitter notes. Lingering.
A bit too sweet for me but it's actually not bad - when you combine it with the whisky.
