The taste is created by combining the unfiltered purity and the Nordic whir of oats. Added organic, flavorful chocolate malt with a fullness that gives a strong beer that shows character in every sip. Cheeky, seductive and magical. Just like a heroic poem from days gone by.
Valravn means battle raven, and is the name of the birds that gathered on the battlefields in the Viking Age. They ate the flesh of the dead and their black shadows filled people with horror. Today there are only a few ravens left in Denmark, but the memory of the world's smartest bird lives on.

Copenhagen 18/1 2016. 50 cl bottle from Meny. Black label with fat hog tip toeing with great resolve.
Pouring hazy opaque a dark brownish small off-white head. Dissapears completely immediately. No lacing.
Aroma of sweet licorice, stale wet bread and dark roasted malts.
Low carbonation and thick palate.
Flavor is sweet and sour at the same time. Sweet like licorice and caramel and sour like sour berries. Aftertaste is roasted malt.
For a beer named after a Were-Raven I expected something slightly more interesting.
