The Støckel” series consists of a total of four different beers; a Weissbier, a Pale Ale, a Mild Ale and a Sweet Stout - all with an alcohol percentage of between 4.4 and 4.8. The Støckel name is taken from the Danish adventurer and explorer Johan Støckel, who traveled to Africa in the late 1800s, where he was greeted by a world of new horizons.

Copenhagen 4/6 2016. 50 cl can from SuperBrugsen. Very colorful can with motives from Johan Støckels writings.
Pours hazy pale yellow with a white head. Settles as a thin layer of foam stretching to cover the surface of the beer.
Aroma is quite tart and sour. Citric fruit like grapefruit and lemon. More subdued sweet scent.
Medium strong carbonation and watery palate.
Flavor is plain and simple sour and quite one-dimensional. Intense citrus in a quite artificial way - like the citrus concentrate you can buy at the supermarket. Sour aftertaste.
Quite strange try on the weissbier style. Not for my taste buds.
