Caramel and chocolate, with a hint of yeast aroma, give the beer a spicy balance between the elegantly balanced and the distinctive sharpness. Danish rye gives power in every mouthful, and plays on the notes of the proud Danish beer traditions of the past. True Nordic enjoyment from the days of Arild.
Nidhug is the name of the ferocious dragon that lies under one root of the world tree Yggdrasil in Norse mythology. From the source Hvergelmer in Niflheim, it gnaws at the root of the ash tree every day, and its worst enemy is the eagle that lives in the tree's top.

Copenhagen 3/6 2015. 50 cl bottle from Føtex, Mimersgade, Kbh. N. Burgundy and black label in the Frejdahl brands usual design with viking paraphernalia and their cute logo with the pig Sæhrímnir.
Pours hazy brownish orange with a white head. Bubbly. Disappears very fast.
Aroma is of burnt cardboard and fermentation. Caramel, toffee and something unpleasant burnt scent.
Soft carbonation. Slightly thick and almost flat texture.
Flavor is kind of watery compared with the strange aroma. Sour citrus and some light hoppy bitterness. Strange aftertaste of something burnt.
A beer named after the Dragon "Malice Striker" should be something special. I do not think that this beer fits that bill.
