Copenhagen 30/122016. 50 cl bottle from Aldi, Lygten, Kbh. NV. Little red Owl looking nervously at me on the label. Might be with good reason as this owl has been fronting many dubious beers from Aldi.
Pours clear dark reddish brown with a white head. Stable. Settles as a patchy thin layer of foam unable of covering the surface of the beer. No lacing.
Aroma is sweet with an odor brown sugar, caramel and wet wood.
Soft carbonation and watery palate. Almost flat texture.
Flavor is very sweet and sugary. Followed by a light bitterness. Lingers for a bit.
Not horrid or anything but in the very sweet end of Amber ales - and I miss a little bitterness to be honest.
