Copenhagen 17/10 2017. 50 cl bottle from Irma. Red label saying "Rosehips" and something about local ingredients. I smell a New Nordic story brewing.

Pours hazy orange-ish amber with off-white head. Settles as 0,5 cm thick layer of foam covering the surface of the beer. Lacing on the side of the glass.

Aroma is rather discreet. Herbal. A little sourish. Might be my imagination but I think I can smell the rosehips in there.

Soft carbonation and medium thick palate.

Flavor is sweet bordering on being sugary. Followed by light bitterness. Aftertaste is slightly bitter with a burnt quality.

A bit too sweet to do it for me. But not too bad for a "Fruit Beer".

500 ml bottle, from Vinmonopolet Vika. ABV is 6.2%. Orange colour, large off-white head. Strong aroma of of rose hips and wild rose petals, as expected, and some undefined sweetish fruity notes that I am not entirely comfortable with. The flavour is better than the aroma, medium sweet and fruity, rose hips again, moderate but noticeable hops. Fairly drinkable.

The beer is clouded red brown, a tan head that leaves a few lacings.

The smell has earthy dusty nuances, somewhere in the old leaf area.

The taste is upfront sweetish, like a herbal tea, some fruity acidity, a rather nice bitterness.

Medium carbonation, rather watery, but quickly dry.

Well, the beer is brewed with rosehip petals (Rosa Canina), which gives a herbal/floral presence. An interesting experiment, but not a clear winner.
