A bubbly Saison beer, with light hops and acidity.
Our organic Høst is inspired by the northern French beer style, Saison. It is a lightly hopped beer with a fresh acidity and a welcoming spicy taste. Saison means season in French, and a classic Saison is spicy, bubbly and fruity, just like ours. Traditionally, Saison was brewed in the winter by French farmers so they had something to drink when they went out to the fields in the summer.

Copenhagen 29/3 2018. 50 cl bottle from Irma, Smedetoften. Kbh. NV. Herslevs usual design with some kind of Viking Heraldic signs in red and orange.
Pours dirty hazy orange with a big white head. Settles as a quite thin but foamy layer covering the surface of the beer. Moderate lacing.
Aroma is sweet and slightly subdued. Caramel, bread, white sugar and stale fridge.
Light carbonation and thin, watery texture.
Flavor is medium sweet followed by lighter bitterness. Aftertaste is medium bitter. Lingering.
Not a bad take on a Beer for Keeping.
