Got a growler of this fantastic beer a couple of weeks ago when in Williamsport. A bit pricey for the growler fill but so worth it. Poured into a large tulip glass for review.
A: pours a hazy cranberry red color with reddish small head that fades to nothing. Some lacing on the glass. Low carbonation.
S: smells out of this world. Smells like a fine red wine. Fantastic notes of raspberries, plum, cherries, etc. Has some tart funk notes. No hops. Some mustiness and a tannin like quality. Some warm alcohol notes. As it warms, some hot alcohol notes & solventy notes.
T: tastes superb. So tart and complex. The berry and fruity notes are up front with a tart/sour component that just knocks it out of the ballpark. They could hookup an IV of this stuff to me and I'd be a very happy man.
M: tart, medium bodied, refreshing. Low carbonation lends more to the wine like qualities.
O: a freaking excellent beer. If someone told me this one was from Belgium I wouldn't think twice. Nice job, Bullfrog!!!

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
