Draft offering at Bullfrog served in a snifter. The brew appears a pale golden color that is quite hazy with a modest white cap that fades back leaving spotty lace.

The aroma is fruity and citrus-like with a somewhat lactic yogurty nose. For being a completely spontaneously fermented beer, this came out exceptionally clean smelling with zero off notes about it.

The taste is tart with notes of citrus and a mild fruity alcohol warmth. Like the aroma, there is some lacto derived yogurt inclusion and mild lemony appeal. The alcohok jumps out a little as it warms.

This is a light bodied brew with a modest amount of carbonation. It is clean and very enjoyable. Id love to know more about the process on this. I have never had a sponstenously fermented beer that came out so clean and totally without any off-putting character. It almost feels like a souped-up sourmashed berliner but with everything enjoyable about it amped up.

I had this at the Grrrz release served on draft described as an oude Gueuze pulled from a single puncheon
The color is lovely golden with midl hease and thin white head with fine bead. The smell is funky and sour with wild yeast components and mild barrel woodiness and light acidic aroma like citrus sour odor. The feel is excellent with wild yeast sourness and bacteria add dryness with lactic acidity and moderate carbonation with gentle woody texture and funky dry finish.

The taste is very good with dry tangy and slightly vinous sour funky and juicy flavor with the acidity of a green grape and woody barrel flavor with tangy citrus flavor. The wild yeast and bacteria is evident in the funk of the gueuze with grapefuit almost tannic bitter finish. Overall I loved this great wild ale even if they call it gueuze I love the way the barrel aging influences the flavor in this -wonderful

I continue to love all the experimenting and different styles they continue to do at the Bullfrog while other brewpubs still to the typical ales and lagers. I didn't take notes when I had this earlier today, but I just had to praise them for another very enjoyable beer. It was served in a snifter, small foamy, white head that quickly diminished to wisps that left spotty lacing 1/2 way down. Beautiful medium golden color, slightly cloudy. Smells of citrus and that odd (in a good way) yeast. Same thing with the taste. The yeast reminds me a bit of a Saison. An enjoyable beer.
