On tap at Bullfrog Brewery in Williamsport, PA.
This one pours a slightly hazy golden yellow, with a small head, and lots of lacing.
This smells like light grapey hops, grassiness, clove, some very light funk, grapefruit, lemon, and melon.
The tastes bring a lot of the same stuff to the table. It's quite hoppy for a saison. There's some nice white grape notes from the Nelson, and a nice tropical and bitter/grassy from the Amarillo- these were clearly the right hops for this recipe. There's a very light clove character, and just a hint of earthy funk- it's either not a super strong yeast strain, or it's not expressed as strongly with all the hopping. Who knows, I don't know much about how this works.
This is super drinkable and crisp, with a good level of carbonation.
This is pretty phenomenal.
