Thanks to tenderbranson69 for sharing this w/ ba Carlos and me, enjoyed chilled from a mug.

The desciption on the Bullfrog website describes it as a 'farmhouse pale ale' whatever that is...
A dark amber with light hazed and fluffy thin white head. The smell is spicy and herbal with a mild malt and slight hint of wild yeast in the nose which brings out a light berry aroma. The feel is very good with some light maltiness and subtle spiced element with a yeast texture that is lively with a mostly dry finish and moderate bitterness keeps it balanced.

I like the malt flavor which adds a touch of toasted grain and the yeast gives a mild fruity tinge along with the flavor of the hops which seem more herbal then spicy but have some subtle fruity notes also and the finish had a dry brett influenced qualtity with an overall refreshing quality in general - a very good beer I would not have guessed the abv is 6.5%

Growler poured into a tulip

A hazy golden color with a fluffy white cap that rose a two fingers and retreated slowly. Moderate sip mark lacing inside the glass.

The nose is pretty muted. Damp wheat and spice jump to the front with some soft fruit in the background. Lightly hopped. No Brett to be found.

Damp wheat and soft citrus fruit roll onto the palate with clove and spice through the middle. The finish is some mild citric bitterness and spicy saison yeast. I get a little bit of must, but nothing to really indicate the Brett.

Medium body with soft carbonation. A touch of citric bitterness and spice linger.

This is a fairly straightforward saison. I would really like to see the Brett come through more, but it appears this is much too young right now.

On tap at Capone's the other day.

The beer pours a slightly hazy gold color with fairly good head retention and lacing. I don't get a whole lot on the nose, just some light clove and underlying spice. Fortunately, the flavor profile is much more prominent in this impressive beer, as the beer comes across as a well crafted, somewhat hoppy farmhouse ale/saison. The beer has plenty of clove and spice, along with some light fruit and a hoppy bite on the finish. This is a very enjoyable, easy to drink ale. Mouthfeel is medium bodied, with a fairly full finish. This beer really delivers a lot of flavor for a 6.5% abv. beer, and I thought the light bitterness on the finish was a very nice counter to the modest sweetness in this beer.

Very nicely done.
