Grabbed a 1L growler 3 days ago from Al's of Hampden
The beer pours a clear golden yellow with an inch of fluffy white head that laces. The nose is a Belgian yeast bomb with potent and slightly tart yeast fruitiness. It's not as bretty as the word "funky" in the beer's name might imply. The taste is relatively mild and drinkable with yeast honey sweetness upfront followed by a slightly bitter-sweet (once again yeasty) finish. The grain and carbonation create great body and head retention, but are overpowered by the bubblegum/clove/banana yeast notes. This is quite a drinkable Belgian that will hopefully pair well with dinner.
