Light brown body with 1.5 finger tan head, decent lacing. Aroma is sweet malts, toffee, quite a sweet aroma. Taste is quite thick maltiness and caramel, limited bitterness, bready like as you'd expect from a red ale. Finish is quite sweet and semi lingering. It's quite nice, nothing extraordinary but I find red ales are not anyway.

Poured from a single serve bottle....

Pours a perfectly clear copper/amber with a pleasing tan two-finger head that hangs around fairly well.

The nose delivers strong caramel malts with some grainy yeast presence, along with spicy and hoppy notes.

The adjuncts were hidden on the nose, but they show up on the palate rather strongly. They manifest in a metallic flavor. Toasted malts forward with a fairly strong grainy yeast presence, and little hop to balance it out. Skews rather sweet.

The mouthfeel is a winner though. Very crisp and dry at the finish, relative to the malty backbone.

Overall, a decent beer, but not one I will seek out again.

12 oz bottle. Pours hazy brown with tall, long-lasting, fluffy off-white head. Aroma is of caramel malt, red fruit and herbal hops. Body is medium and crisp. Taste is similar to aroma. Finish is long and almost dry. Tasty brew.

Actually, a pleasant surprise.
I Had a few nicely crafted domestic brews in Mexico City in November, but Los Muertos is new to me. (I saw several of their offerings on the shelf in an independent grocery store in Chicago.... and the labels are unsettling.
Seems like their initial market was American beach tourists in PV... so getting a distributor in Illinois is good work (do they know what they've gotten into?)
Anyway... If this Amber were to have more aromatic hops, it might improve its ratings.
I happen to like its malty taste that becomes spritzy in the mouth... but then finishes softer.
Would I have this again ? Yes, but it would have to be from a limited menu. The label is macabre. And beer is life ! Correct?

Pours a clear copper like light brown one finger tan head falls to a ring with some good lace.

Aroma is malty, toffee, some light nutty combo fruit notes and earthy goodness.

Taste is nice and malty style amber instead of hops. Malty light toffee hints, some nutty hints maybe banana bread like hints. Semi sweet and easy drinking brew.

Mouthfeel is nice and mellow about medium.

Overall a good amber ale, enjoyable enough for me to have it again. As far as I know my first craft brew from Mexico.

Amber, filtered with almost no carbonation, and topped with 3 fingers of beige tinged head. Chunky lacing left behind.

Malt, chile peppers, caramel, and toffee. Very earthy, a little herbal quality.

Malt, red liquorice, toffee, iron, red tea, slightly floral. Light sweetness to it.

Medium body, medium low carbonation. Slightly tannic quality.

Got at Rimping, CNX. Drank April 10th, 2016. Some solid qualities, true to style.
