Brewed with imported pale malt, Honey malt for flavor, three types of caramel malt for color and flavor, Vienna and Munich malt for body. The ruby red color hints at its rich caramel maltiness. Hopped with a good amount of German hops to tame the sweetness. This is a perfect middle-of-the-road beer for those who do not want a beer that is too light, too dark, or too bitter.

On-tap at the brewpub. It's appeared a clear red with a short off-white head. This is a very smooth drinking beer, but it tastes like there's oxidation problems with underlying cardboard below the gentle caramel malts. Even if there aren't technical issues, there isn't much going on here. I'd pass on this beer for the Curly Tail every time.

I got a growler of this for my wife, this was here favorite on the sampler tray (about my 3rd choice, but on the bonus side, another growler to add to the collection)
Pours a semi-effervescent chestnut with just a bit of tan head. Minimal head retention & lacing
S: Fruityness, apricot & pears
T: Biscuitty malt, a touch of leafy & citric hops up front along with dryness, along with persimmons & apricot jammyness. Dryness, toasty malt & jammyness dominate as this warms. My guess is they used ringwood yeast for this, based on the dominant flavors, this would would worked great if they were so stingy with hops the 35 IBUs aren't really showing off. Finishes dry, fruitty & with a whisper of leafy & woody hops
MF: Light/medium bodied with low carbonation, skews too fruitty
Drinks easy enough, but just middle of the road as APAs go IMHO, would work better as an ESB
