50cl can from Lidl, Tallinn. Pours clear golden with a white head. Mild malty aroma with some slightly fruity notes and modest, herbal hops. Moderate to medium sweet with fairly low flavour intensity, but a mild and pleasant bitterness. Fairly drinkable.

Personally don’t like this beer. It’s one of the cheapest in Czechia and I couldn’t resist to taste one as some of my relatives used to buy it.

Don’t like it - it feels like the company said like - yeah, how do I make a beer? Hmm, well beer is known for being bitter, lets make it more bitter than any other beer!!
Thats how I feel about this beer - feels unnatural and badly flavored.

As the company bets the whole strategy into beer being bitter and hoping it will work if all the other things are not done well.

I think most people like it for it’s price! But it’s certainly not what makes a good beer for me!

Recommend staying away from it, but you can buy it in Lidl for 8CZK if you are “lucky”.

From the bottle purchased at LIdl as "Czech Lager", it pours a clear golden color with a really nice white head that lasts and leaves lacing. The nose gets a grainy scent with grass notes. The mouth gets a nice malt flavor with a pilsner like hop bite. Nice!

I reviewed this beer (in May 2021) marketed as "Czech Lager" under a private label for LIDL US. On the back label, in small letters is the name "Argus 12 Majestic". Lidl sells it in my area for about $2 a 1/2 liter bottle, so is a real bargain. There is a big hop aroma accompanied by a mild bitterness throughout. Malt body is moderate. Nice pils color, generous foam, leaving some lacing. My review might be influenced by the bargain price, but is definitely worth trying if you are close to a LIDL that carries it. it is a solid option for a summer afternoon.

Served from 500ml bottle into pint glass. A thick off white head slowly falls with mild lacing. Color is gold with plenty of streaming carbonation. Aroma of pungent grain and grassy hops. Mouthfeel is light with a drying finish. Flavor combines sweet grain, cracker, and yeast roll with grassy and floral hops. Overall: very good. Would love to try fresh on tap.

Argus 12 Maestic has a very thick, spongy, white head, and a mostly clear deep gold appearance, with lots of dusty sediment, throughout. The lacing is quite heavy. The aroma is of rich, biscuit and grass. The flavor is of sweet, white bread crust and strong, bitter hops. Argus 12 Maestic has a medium body and a dry finish.

This is the first beer I had from Lidl, the can says it is their own brand? I'm not sure but I feel like having seen it in Czech though...
It is a12 Lezák, meaning that it's only 4.8% ABV and as such, it is on the watery side with more bitterness to it. Saaz hops are not that prevailent in this as they usually arein Czech lezáks so I rate it a good medium. Okay to drink though.

From Lidl. In Ikea's pint glass. After dinner. Not too bad but with a weak more thin and bland than usual, giving it a bit bad feel. Nice bitterness though and dull-ish aroma and taste
