With no actual seasoning, Iron Horses Saison tastes spiced with peppercorn, lemon peel, and a pinch of gray ash. The sunny yellow color reminds me of some sort of wildflower. It is hazed and originally presented with fine white lace.
This is a very credible farmhouse ale with a light cider element. It is spry and zesty and goes well with a plate of pasta and sautéed veggies. Iron Horse hasnt put this in bottles yet, but Id be both optimistic and curious about a bottle conditioned version.
