Haven't had this style of beer before. The description lead me to believe it would be like sunken city from Insight brewing - one of my favorite ales. This one is similar to our although technically a different style. The smell is full of grape and champagne. Color is a pale golden. Taste is light and crisp, thankfully not too carbonated, you can taste the sauv blanc grapes. Really well balanced. I'd like a little more grape flavor to come through but I'm nit picking. It's not on the level of Sunken City but for the great price of $3.99 for a 6 pack this a easily drinkable beer that would appeal to nearly everyone.

Poured a clear orange color with a ton of fizzy bubbles. However, it was all short lived. It smelled fruity and estery with candy notes. Sweet with a touch a funky bite.

Delightful. Bière Blanc style fermented with French Saison yeast strain and Sauvignon Blanc grapes. Reminiscent of a Hefe or Witbier with notes of a Belgian Ale from the Strisselspalt hops. Light body with a lightly effervescent mouthfeel, slightly spicy mid-palate, and aromas of melon, stone fruit, and Sauvignon blanc grapes. Great summer brew or pairs great with seafood and lighter fare.
This should be a year round brew for Finnegan's, but until then, I may just attempt to clone it for myself. ;)
There's something for everyone here. Something those who "aren't into beer" can appreciate, and those of us who are aficionados will thoroughly enjoy as well.

Finnegans refers to it as a French biere blanc. Looks a lot like a traditional witbier. Subtle smell of grapes and maybe some melon. I thought it tasted and felt like a mild semi dry wine. Not really my bag, but a decent summer beer for someone looking for something mild and sweet.
