A clear red amber brew, a white head leaving little lacing, small curtains.

Fruity and sweet smell, in general red berries.

Tasting sweet, sugar and cherry essence, cherry lemonade with a small bitter tang.

Little carbonation, soft but watery, a slight dry finish.

Nope, the cherry did not improve this one.

A: The glass came out of the bar to my patio seat deep red with a ton of bubbles clinging to the side of the pint glass. 4

S: A ton of sweet cherries seem to be placed atop a crisp ale. I'm getting some pilsner type hints, slight malt presence with some hops. It's a bit strange, and too disjointed. Instead of being integrated with the beer, the cherries seem separated, and remind me a bit too much of juice. 3.5

T: I would liken this to a pilsner with a boatload of cherries thrown in. Sweet malts and even sweeter cherries actually attempt to work together. At first I wasn't a fan of the taste, but it grew on me. It's still a touch watered down, and a one trick pony with the cherries, but I can't complain when I'm sitting outside with this beautiful weather. 3

MF: The body on this is so strange. It's a heavier body than I wanted paired with a very low amount of carbonation. It seems like this was brewed to be a much lighter beer, and the additions threw off the balance. The cherry taste leaves a strange taste on the palate. 2.5

O: Honestly the pretzels they brought out made made me enjoy the beer a lot more. It was a decently sized disappointment, unlike the real cherry blossoms. If you were going to rush out to try this...don't, but if you're in the city this weekend, I'd say give it a try. 3
