I sampled a pint at the DC location that filled my glass with a cloudy, bright amber to orange color draft with a nominal foam head that left no discernible lacing. The flavor profile builds on the pepper spice and yeast qualities of the aroma, and adds orange marmalade and lemon citrus to the blend of tastes that also reveals the unusual rye malt backbone and a touch of alcohol.
