Collaborative beer brewed at Pratt St for Victorias and T-Bonz or something like that. Served in a pint at T-Bonz. Chris clarifies that "session" in the name is no way intended to suggest this is a session beer. Gotcha.
The appearance of this beer is incredibly unappealing to me. Fortunately, who really cares what it looks like? Starts with an initially large white airy head that quickly fades to nothing with no lacing. Body is a still, clear deep copper with a mild maroon hue. The beer isn't flat but does it's damnedest to look so. But again, who cares? Why am I stressing over this? Sigh.
Aroma is floral and estery with some strong, sweet dark fruit notes. Overall mild nose and doesn't do the surprise of the flavor justice. Full bodied with light carbonation and a thick, smooth texture. Flavor is sweet like a hefe but the agave dominates the traditional yeast and clove flavors. Grape and plum fruit dominates. A fun twist on a summer beer (and makes more sense when you realize it's not a session), recommended.
