I guess i'll be the first BA to review this brew. MonKriek was the "official beer" of the 2004 installment of Le Mondial De La Biere in Montreal, PQ. Jean-Francois Gravel said that he made this beer to be a tasty festival offering that would appeal to most of the festival goers. As such this is not as complex as it could be. Anyway this beer was a nice pinkish red colour with a pink-tinged head that lasted nicely. The aroma was nice and consisted of cherries, vanilla, and yeast. The taste was wheaty and yeasty with a big burst of cherries in the middle, and a slightly lactic/sour finish. The mouthfeel was medium bodied and smooth and the drinkability was good. Not the best beer from Dieu Du Ciel, but decent none-the-less.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
