Hazy peach with a small head of off-white foam that fizzes and crackled away quite quickly. Smells quite good with the farmhouse funk and spicy hops that one would expect to find in a Dupont clone. Taste is yeasty and a bit funky with some nice earthy flavors and spicy hops that lend a white pepper taste to the brew. Mouthfeel is a bit thin, but not watery, and drinkability remains nice...A nice saison, but DDC has yet to really nail any of the funky, farmhouse, wild ales yet, although I think that they will master these sort of beers shortly. Especially if some of the rumours I have heard about what is lurking in their basement/cold room are true!

Sample at the Mondiale 2005: Poured an hazy yellow color ale with a medium head with minimal retention. Aroma of rip pear is clearly detectable as well as funky yeast. Taste is bit too sweet for my liking with the pear aspect taking too much place. Bitter finish is quite enjoyable. Overall, a nice saison though the abundance of the pear would limit the amount of this beer that I could drink.
