Pours a gorgeous slightly tan amber color forming a thick white head, the head retention is excellent as well as the lacing
Pleasantly sour wheat malts certainly dominate the aroma with orange and citrus tones slightly floral with a good dose of coriander
The taste of wheat and hay are present with delicious orange lemon and maybe even grapefruit notes sweet and sour middle with tangy spices throughout 6% alchohol is well masked
High carbonation with a medium body its nice when an extremely drinkable style still posses a pleasant body
Goes down extremely smoothly i really like this beer i will certainly drink it again soon

On tap at the brewpub.
Pours a clear amber, thick white head forms, thick layer, great retention, tons of lace. Smell is sour and wheaty, oranges, lemons, coriander, hay, some floral, quite fruity, light funk and spices. Taste is hay, some funk, sweet and sour middle, grapefruit, watermelon, grainy spices, yeast, real nice. Mouthfeel is light to medium bodied with high carbonation, very refreshing and drinkable, I dig this stuff.

At the brewpub. A changeup of a saison, as the rye truly dominates, followed with some sourness, pepper,corriander a drop of yeast, sugar, lime citrus, and above average carbonation. Lacey. Much better with food. Above average mouthfeel and smooth drinking, but not for everyone.About the same when i had it 2 years later.

Appearance: Peachy and sort of copper colored, but it could have been the lighting, it's quite dark at the pub. It had a stricking white mousse sprinkled with big bubbles that created little craters when they burst.
Smell: Most definately their usual Saison house yeast, it has a great bready aroma with a lot of freshness to it.
Taste: More of a Fantôme-like earthyness and minerality (did they spike their water with something?) that I really enjoyed, however the aftertaste was a little too neutral. It is as if the flavors hit your tongue and then suddenly dilute themselves to nothing once you throw your sit down your throat. It's not dry, the falvors simply...vanish. It's still good, but alas, DDC's search for the truely earth-shattering saison recipe still continues...It's just a matter of time.
