473 ml can, from Left Field Beer, England. ABV is 5.9%. Opaque mango colour, shortlived head. Aroma of over-ripe mango, hints of lactic acid. The sour flavour has loads of lactic acid, also mango.

Looks thick like mango juice, but bright and sunny. It has a light mild smell of mango and barnyard. The taste is like a carbonated mango drink with a more muted mango taste than a soft drink. This is a beer after all. The sourness of the typical Dieu du Ciel is not as prominent, and the fruit with some refreshing dryness, keeps it from being too sweet.

On tap at the source.
Low carbonation but very lively in the mouth. Not very sour, has a low lying mango presence that is unmistakable. and grows as it warms. An overall wheat presence is also noticeable.

Draft: Poured a light yellowish weisse with a small foamy head with limited retention and lacing. Aroma of light tart notes with a lingering sweetness. Taste is dominated by light tart notes with some light sweet fruit notes. The mango is not easily discernable. Body is about average with medium carbonation. Interesting with light funky notes but definitely not my favourite solstice d’été.

Draft
Appearance – Hazy yellow colour with an average size frothy white coloured head. There is a below average amount of carbonation showing and there is some fairly good lacing. The head lasted for around 5 minutes before it was gone.
Smell - Wheat/grains, lemons
Taste & Mouth - The beer has an average amount of carbonation. I can taste wheat mixed with lots of lemon juice, but it's not too overly sour. There is only a little bit of mango flavour, which was a little bit disappointing. It finishes with a tart lemon aftertaste.
Overall – I would like a little more mango flavour and a little more complexity. Other than the medium amount of sourness, the beer doesn't really have anything exciting going on. I've had the cherry version as well, and I preferred that one.
