Le Cheval Blanc "Saison"
on tap at the brewery on 7 Octobre 2014

Notes: 6.1% ABV. Golden-orange body beneath a frothy white head. Good head retention and lacing. Aroma of Belgian yeast, chalk, sugary malt, phenols: bubblegum and some plastic. The flavor is smoother but with the chalky yeast remaining, and some additional fruitiness that recalls apple and pear. Median bitterness. Medium bodied and crisp. Dry finish. Nicely done. Not outstanding, but certainly well within style and enjoyable/drinkable.

Hmm...had this on tap teh weekedn of April 24, my notes say: Saison, so I hope that's right (couldn't find it on brewery webpage). Pour when served was a cloudy tangerine. Aroma was nice and spicey. Mouthfeel was sopot on medium, and my tasting notes say: Sugar, Spice, and everything nice. Very enjoyable brew.
