Draft at Goose Clybourn, served in a mini nonic.
Bright gold, perfectly clear, lasting head and surface skim, drippy lacing around the edges of the glass.
Dry and grassy aroma, light lager yeast, very clean.
Taste is crisp and clean, fairly nondescript, some faint grainy pils malt. Something a little flabby about it, finishes dry and clean though. Light bodied, fairly refreshing. Not any better than Four Star Pils but not bad.

Served during the brewery tour in mid-July. Given how big of a trend craft pils is right now, this one was a major letdown. Though there were decent malt flavors and hop notes, nothing really seemed to jive in this one- the malt was lacking some of the crackeriness and seemed too sweet, and the hop notes weren't quite what I would expect- too much citrus, not enough grassy and herbal notes. A drinkable beer for sure, but one I won't be revisiting.

True pilsner style with a dry, raspy feel. Light drinking beer that just seemed perfect for a hot summer night. Very true to style, and the result is a quality beer.

2/2/16 Chicago (16 oz draft pour into pilsner glass at Goose Island Brewpub).
Light golden pour, quickly dissipating white carbonation, thin white head. Minimal lacing. Minimal aroma of grass and hops. Light thin watery texture, dry finish. Taste of lemon grass. Medium body. Decent offering.
