Had at the Goose Island Clybourn pub. The 17th Anniversary ESB cask ale is dark brownish red, pretty clear and with nice white creamy head, that dissipated fast but left a lot of lacing on the glass. The smell was of sweet malts, some hops and alcohol. Tasting it brought up sweet malts again, that gave way to a quite hoppy bitterness, with a dry and bitter finish. The mouthfeel was very pleasant, the best cask ale I've had yet. Low carbonation and very smooth and creamy, this ale coats the tongue and lingers long. Very very good ale, I really recommend it if anyone visits the brew pub.
