(Served in a Nonic)
A- This beer has a thick creamy white head that last and last. I can count the sip rings in the foam on the side of the glass when I finished. The deep orangish-brown body is bright but too hazy to see through. The head is amazing.
S- The smell of grapefruit hops with a strong spicy note has a faint sweet orange note in the hops. There is a soft hint of wood that is more fresh cut wood than it is oak but it is very light.
T- The slightly sweet pale malt balances the pine hops with the first few sips. As I keep tasting I notice gentle notes of toasted malt in the background with a smooth spicy hop finish with a faint wood tang. The hops are fresh and crisp in the finish and are enhanced by the slight sweet note of malt.
M- The medium body has a light finish that is almost creamy in texture. There is a slight watery note in the middle but it is nice and not bothersome like I usually find it.
D- The smooth gentle flavors have a nice complexity and a great balance when they all come together. This is a very drinkable beer and the bartender said it is much better than the straight Summer Bitter.
