We've all had chocolate stouts before... But this beer is really special, quality chocolate has been used to give it the right balance and complex chocolate flavor. Not too sweet and definitely not bitter preserving the bourbon county flavor we love still setting it apart from anything else. I liked this better than vanilla.

Layered chocolate flavors. Milk chocolate, bakers chocolate, and some dark chocolate notes. Bourbon overtones, but not huge. Very nice offering.

L: Rich mahogany and onyx hues with a subtle tan head
S: Dark chocolate, toffee, vanilla beans, and a hint of barrel
T: Soaked in cocoa, milk chocolate, and cacao nibs...piled atop a rich imperial base of BCBS; unique combo, but very smooth
F: Typical BCBS thickness with ample carb
O: This was a fun entry into the long line of Prop iterations. As expected, they pulled off a rich, sweet, decadent, and importantly smooth chocolate and bourbon blend; surprisingly, despite the ABV, I had this side-by-side with a 2017 BCBS and this noticeably had less of an alcohol burn - awesome brew

Bottled 10/9/18; drank 12/1/18 @ the Yarchives.

Black appearance.

A rough pour yielded a nice tan head; no lace.

Bakers chocolate & fudge notes in the nose.

Thick, sticky mouthfeel.

Fudge & caramel flavors up front; bakers chocolate & mild booze heat notes on the finish.

A chocolate bomb, as advertised; not much nuance here but it's good for what it is.

Had on tap. A little thinner for bcbs, but that seems to be typical for their sweeter variants. Off the smell I got cocoa powder, baker's chocolate, booze, malt and a touch of vanilla. Seemed pretty basic for bcbs. Then I tasted, wow it was a roller coaster of chocolate. Ventured through dimensions of chocolate: semi-sweet, dark, milk, fudge, and cocoa, with some bourbon, vanilla and brown sugar to support in the malt work. Each chocolate brought different feels into the trademark bcbs smoothness. Fun variant
