Sovereign Ale ESB
One of the specials at the Wrigley location, it is served in a 20 oz imperial pint. The beer is bronze with a slight chill haze. Skim of tan head.
It has a malty nose with rolled grains and a bit of brown sugar.
The taste is a yummy combination of sweet bread/biscuits from the malts and mild floral bitterness. A bit of caramel and an earthy finish round out the beer.
The mouth is soft, thickish and has low carbonation. Session beer to the max and a great price at $5.
