Draught @ Clybourn Brewpub: Served in a tulip glass. This one pours a hazy golden yellow color. There was a finger of white foam on top, and it left a fair amount of lacing. Earthy and grassy aroma. A touch of pineapple in there too. Very nice taste. Hint of tartness, some malts, a faint hint of the pineapple, earthy hops. I would have this one again.

Guess I'm following a breadcrumb trail of MasterSki-added-and-sole-reviewer of brewbup GI beers.

A - Slightly cloudy golden/amber beer with a white head that faded to an inconsistent cap.

S - Smells of belgian yeast, light stone fruit, and lemon rind.

T - Taste is a lot of yeast, and a bit fruity. Some random spice thrown in gives it a little character. Little bit of honey in there as well.

M - Smooth, creamy, medium bodied.

O - It's not great, but it is pleasantly sweet and decently easy to drink. Wouldn't order it again though unless there were just a lot of really bad other options.

Served in a taster pint glass.

A - Finger-plus of white foam that settles to a thin cap, and a few splotches of lace. Slightly hazed dark apricot body.

S - Lemon, peach flesh, and other stone fruits. Light grassy and musty hops. Somewhat understated.

T - Taste has less sweetness to it. It's a fairly dry, yeast-heavy saison, with notes of mild black pepper, grass and a bit of hay in the finish.

M - Smooth medium body, medium carbonation, semi-dry finish. Pretty typical for the style.

D - It's far from my favorite Goose Saison, but it doesn't have any real flaws. An above average take on the style - I could drink a glass or two, if there weren't more interesting offerings afoot.
