(Served in a tulip)
A- The dense glowing reddish-brown body with a light tan head was lumpy with a gentle carbonation.
S- The dry saison yeast aroma had a club soda hint and some dried orange pith in the finish.
T- The bright green musty pine hops blend with a slightly sweet orange note with a saison yeast dry finish. There is a green grapefruit note that could be hops or brett character and a spicy hop bite in the finish.
M- The medium mouthfeel has a crisp finish and a scrubbing bubble character.
O- This beer has a light crisp flavor with a good load of hops and a perceived sweetness that supports the nice full saison yeast character.

Served in a tulip glass at the Clybourn brewpub.
Let's go let's go let's go let's go down to Jimmy's farm to see his red farmhouse...not as catchy, is it? Anyway, this stuff pours a sunset amber topped by a finger of dirty off-white foam. The nose comprises pine needles, light leek, banana peel, and light-ish maple syrup. The taste holds notes of light pine, balsa, orange peel, lemon peel, and light-ish caramel. There's almost no Belgian character, let alone any real farmhouse character. The body is a light medium, with a moderate carbonation and a dry finish. Overall, an okay brew, but one whose lack of farmhouse character and seemingly overachieving hops keep it from getting high marks in my book.

Belgian style red saison $6.00 for 12oz tulip.
Brewery description: Light amber color, piney hop aroma, candied orange flavor, medium body.
A: reddish-brown color, slight haze, nice head when poured but dissipated
S: full nose, spicy, hoppy, traditional saison
T: great balance between hops, malt, spiciness, yeast, true to type and a real winner
M: everything you'd expect from a spot-on saison
