Served in a tulip glass at the Clybourn brewpub.
I had some time before a wedding elsewhere here in the City, so I figured I'd make a quick round, starting with this new offering from GI. It pours a clear brass topped by a finger of lightly off-white foam. The nose comprises grapefruit rind, orange zest, light black pepper, light clove, dusty wheat, and a hint of lemon peel. The taste brings in more of the same, with a decided increase in general funkiness and yeastiness. The body is a light medium, with a light moderate carbonation and a fairly dry finish. Overall, a nice, easy-drinking saison. 'Nuff said.
