Notes: Wine Barrel-aged Red Saison with Brettanomyces claussenii. Claret color, oaky cabernet aroma, cherry pineapple flavor, medium body.

Appearance: Ruby-amber-brown. Decent foam and lacing. Rather thick.

Smell: Fiery bourbon and oak. Some dark fruit as well. Raisins in particular. Fairly malty as well, especially the caramel variety.

Taste/Mouthfeel: Lots of bourbon. Strawberries as well, which I did not expect. Definitely some grassy notes and maybe a hint of lemon. Finishes with the burn of a nice bourbon. Rather medium-bodied for such high alcohol.

Overall Drinkability: I wish I could've gotton a growler of this. Definitely the real deal and one of the best by Goose Island.
