On tap at Clybourn
A-Slighty hazy. Golden in color. White ringing of foam.
S-Orange fruity aroma. Floral. Spicy. Banana.
T-Sweet with phenolic flavors. A bit of sourness.
M-A bit of a long peppery finish. A touch bitter.
O-A very delicate beer for 8.4% ABV. Heavy on the spice but it is a saison. Pretty solid.

Served in a tulip glass at the Clybourn brewpub.

The Pre-Gold Box Excursion continues with this "French saison". It pours a lightly-hazy brass topped by a finger of lightly off-white foam. The nose comprises musty orange zest, cracked wheat, French bread, and coriander. The taste brings in more of the same, with a brighter and stronger contingent of orange (possibly blood?), some black pepper, and some spicy Chardonnay grapes. The body is a light medium, with a light moderate carbonation and a dry finish. Overall, a nice little BdG/saison, something I could easily see drinking again.
