Nice coffee presence, good nuttiness and a bit of roasted malt, light milk chocolate and black coffee. I did have this right before the Nut Smasher, and I thought this was fairly moderate on the nuttiness. Mouthfeel was appropriately lighter bodied as expected for a porter, and the coffee seemed middle of the road to me.

This is a coffee forward beer, from the aroma through the entire flavor profile. Unfortunately, while there is a little peanut there, I think the subtlety is a little overwhelmed by the coffee, but the coffee is just so delicious. I would have liked a heavier mouthfeel, but that's a personal preference, and maybe the Nutsmasher Imperial has a bit more of that, but this is a truly delicious porter, so I'm simply quibbling.

Had this beer right before we cracked up big brother nut smasher. This was a great base beer that had a lot of great flavor and mouth feel to it. It just wasn't as complete as the nut smasher was. Definitely recommended tho!
