Poured on-tap at the brewery and served in a shaker pint, the beer is a light, caramel-gold coloring, with a light halo of white head. Nose of berry and tropical fruits forward, with a citrus and pine backbone. Flavors are roasted and toasted forward, with a tangy citrus backbone. Berry highlights and a solid hops bitterness, too. The body is light and smooth, with a hoppy bitter aftertaste. The finish is crisp and dry. Nice brew!

Bottom line on top: on my Asheville vacation I tried 51 different local beers. This was the first one I tried and the first one from my last day there. THIS IS THE BEST BEER IN ASHEVILLE. HANDS (wait for it. ..) ... DOWN!!
I'm an IPA guy so this was the first beer that struck me off the menu. Looked beautiful, smelled so good - not important to me necessarily, but does affect the flavor - and as soon as I tasted it I knew that I was in for a great trip. It wasn't overbearingly heavy and the massive hop flavor was well balanced with just enough malt.
... Damn I wish I lived there.

A: pours a slightly hazy honey color with a finger of white head that fades into a thin layer with good lacing.
S: lot of bright citrus hop aromas here with pineapple, oranges, apricots, and some melon notes. Super pungent hop aroma.
T: citrusy hops here as well with grapefruit and orange rind foremost. Cantaloupe and herbal pine flavors follow before a moderately bitter finish.
M: medium-light body with moderate carbonation, this beer is very drinkable.
O: a fantastic beer overall, with tons of hop flavors and aromas for an APA. This is one of the best APAs I've had.
